The Jungle is home to over 100 rescued or donated animals that are here for the community to interact and feed. We have birds, turtles, tortoises, koi fish and an iguana! You are always welcome to make a donation that will help support our animals.
What an incredible plant store!! They really mean jungle! The place is COVERED in plants, all so well maintained. But the thing that really sets them apart is the tortoises and turtles, the birds, and the fish!! So cool!
I always shop here. Plans are always fresh here. I come here every second week, because I go to my beauty procedures in Niles, so I always stop at Jungle of Niles. Now my apartment is flooded with house plants 😀
This place is AMAZING!!!! It is my happy place and I am so glad I found it. I come here from Mpls to shop. They have the best plants at the best prices!!!
Horrific. I have no idea where the good reviews are coming from. The store is dirty, all floors have giant puddles, the merchandise is dusty and dirty, the plants are either dying or dead. And the prices!! $60 for a dirty chair cushion! $130 for a fake Christmas tree that sells for $30 everywhere else! And no refunds for anything! This felt like a store from a developing country - no sense of cleanliness or order, hand written notes all over walls and registers, no workers on registers or anywhere. Meanwhile, there are live turtles crawling in sand, an extravagant waterfall in the middle of the store, the biggest koi fish I’ve ever seen in a giant indoor pond. Why? Why is the money being spent in these random displays while the rest of the store is literally a jungle and not in a good sense. Feels like someone who has no idea how to run a business got their hands on a lot of money and went crazy.
Huge place with huge plants. Wide selection and reasonable prices. Kids will love this place with a party room for birthdays or other special events. Volcano with a pond, birds to feed and even an iguana.
A shop where you can buy various plants, flowers, cacti, palm trees. Various gardening products, live animals. Parrots, fish. They offer swimming pools and everything else related to it. A large store with lots of different things.
It's definitely a Jungle! Lots and lots of trees and plants alongw/ birds, fishes and turtles! Go, check 'em out and get a free mini pumpkin!I gave it 4 stars only since I could not find an indoor plant stand:(
Checked out some house Plants for This time of the year staff is very Friendly and you can Have fun with The animals and they have different kinds of plants.🪴 😉 Staff was very nice and helpful in my search I Left there with a smile 😃 and a Deal .Thanks so much JUNGLE OUTLET.
Loved loved loved the entire experience. We were desperate after $1000 of flowers from a very reputable company through Amazon showed up damaged (the delivery company laid the orchids down and stacked them).Passed this place and looked it up. The reviews were outstanding.Stopped in and WOW!!The selection. But most importantly, the people. The staff. They are amazing. Knowledgeable, helpful and beyond going the extra mile.Told everyone about them.Definitely going back.
There's a huge variety of plants. My kids are always very entertained when we come here. They've fed the turtles, fed the birds, and the fish. You're also able to host birthday parties here.
Great place to visit to gaze at the animals. The store keeps improving every time I visit.Their hazards to prickly plants and slippery floor has gotten better. Still, there’s a lot of slipping hazards in the store that I wish had wet floor signs to caution people. The pools of goldfish and minnows have a lot of potential to make it more appealing for the health of the plants and looks of the enclosure. It would be nice if they can expand resources for pond materials.Overall, good store ,I love coming here to visit. It still feels“incomplete” at the moment, but it’s getting there!
Ok so I am so glad I found this place. I was surprised at the quality especially of their carnivorous plants. They have a huge discount section where if you can “bring it back to life” or use it for propagations it’s perfect. Also the live animals are pretty cool. I’ve already gone a couple times and I know I’ll be back.
Buyer beware-- most of their inventory bears Woodman's price tags, but they charge significantly more than the sticker price. They offer the weak explanation that it's too much trouble to peel off the price tags, but it seems it would prevent a lot of wasted time at checkout. I've witnessed similar confusion in nearly every transaction before mine in line and seen many customers deciding not to purchase items after seeing the surprise price increases.
Ok… my wife and I read the reviews a few weeks back and thought… what a mess we’re not going there. So 2 weeks later we drove by and decided to turn around and check it out. I’m glad we did!!It was a fun and interesting place. Ok, so not some of the reviews were absolutely correct… lol. But it was a hodge-podge of so many things… mostly plants but they had birds, koi ponds, massive Koi’s at that (is that what they’re called or massive goldfish, whatever!) we even saw a huge 60 year old turtle walking around the store. They had pools, pool tables, outdoor furniture… oh and cactus 🌵They don’t sell the animals. All have been donated. If you want you can even have a kid’s birthday party there. Seems like a fun place to do that too… albeit an odd place and the last place I would have thought of for a kid’s birthday party. It’s now - close 2nd to Chucky Cheese and that jumpy place. Anyways, if you live in the area, go check it out and talk the the staff. They’re very nice. ✌🏻
This store has great potential and a good variety of plants but they could be a little better cared for. No worse than any other plant store I’ve been to though.
Stopped in today to browse the selection of plants. Ended up having the most amazing experience feeding the birds & koi fish for a donation of $10.00! Totally wort
First time visiting Jungle of Niles after always seeing it around.. really fun & awesome experience! The staff were very friendly, and there are lots for both novices & experts to enjoy for your garden. They even have wildlife to view & experience for the kids. Thank you for the pumpkin selection as well! Will return soon. 🙂
Very large selection of plants and very friendly cashier staff. I wish there were more smaller plants available in more varieties (specifically vining plants like inchplants) but it was a fun experience!
It's my place to buy my plants.....but today I celebrated my daughter's birthday here and I just want to say that they exceeded my expectations, everything was very good, the children had a lot of fun, everything was organized, everyone was very kind, especially Angie, who took care of everything very good. If you want your child to have a happy birthday, this is the perfect place. THANK YOU
AMAZING. This plant store is beyond belief and a super fun experience. There the plants and everything you need to care for them, but a sickly plant room where you get a discount for a little extra tlc. There are also birds, the biggest koi you’ve ever seen, tortoises, an iguana - it is a DAY. Bring your good shoes and all of your energy - it’s overwhelming in the best possible way.
Are you a plant lover? Are you an animal lover? If you answered yes to either of these questions, you need to go to here! I may have blacked out slightly and had an out of body experience from the sheer amazingness that is this place.
I had a great time here and the prices are amazing! I love snake plants and the ones they have here are twice the size I see at other places for about half the price. I will definitely return to buy all kinds of things. I just happened to be in the neighborhood and its been on my list of places to check out. They also have live animal displays which was a semi pleasant surprise. I hate seeing animals in captivity but most of the ones I saw look fairly happy so I cant complain and honestly its fitting to the decor. Will add photos later.
Had a really great experience at this store for my first time in. It has a huge selection of just about any plant or flower you may be looking for.The staff were all very friendly and helpful but especially Matt, the manager.I needed assistance choosing the right plants for my home and he was extremely knowledgeable about the inventory and so helpful in providing the information I needed to choose the right plants. I really appreciated the generous amount of time he spent with me.
Finally made the trip to Niles to visit the infamous Jungle of Niles. Had a great time feeding the birds and watching the big tortoise walk the store. Best of all they had the carnivorous plant I’ve always wanted.
This is the best plant store I’ve ever been to. They have cool animals and every plant you can think of! I bought a pineapple plant to try and grow it. Super excited to come back.
Fabulous shopping experience and plant selection! This is my third visit. The plants always look so healthy and are fairly priced. I love the rescue animals!!
AMAZING!! Like your in the Brazil rainforest, they have everything,Kris the manager is the best so are the young employees-very helpful and gr8 prices!! Way better selection than Gethsemane on Clark st and way cheaper!! Buy from this local shop!! Will be back to buy more plants next week
Absolutely Great place to visit if you like plants and staff seems very knowledgeable and friendly.I got couple of bonsai plants.I would highly recommend this place if you are plant lover. Employee kris is very friendly
Great variety of options available. People working here are very friendly and they help guiding you the right 🪴. They have water plants too which is not available everywhere.
A lovey and cool environment! Staff are really friendly and helpful! They also have such a wide variety of plants! But I loved looking at the turtles and fishes around here! Definitely will come back!
I went here today for the first time, and it was such an amazing experience!! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the amount of plants they have are insane; truly a jungle. I also really enjoyed all of the animals they have (:
If you like plants or nature, it's the place to explore! It would be nice if everything would have a price tag & if they sell plastic pots of different sizes, all I found was ceramic that was not in my price range. 😔
From the first steps inside, the majesty of the place is incredible. From the wildlife sounds to the sea of green all over, it's an honest must-visit and well worth the trip here. Everything was simply beautiful.

2nd time at this store and impressed at the selection of quality plants, supplies and helpful employees. I was looking for a particular plant in a small size. Compliments to the lady who was kind enough to bring me some stem clippings from a larger plant to purchase. Great service!
They advertise the big sale but when I got there the plants were way too expensive you have to be specific when you go in about to sell you were looking I didn't like it and I wouldn't recommend it
My partner and I were driving by this place and realized we had to stop by just based on the name of the place. After making a small donation, we were able to feed tropical birds and koi, which was delightful. They also have a great selection of plants, and random wildlife disbursed across the store. I’ll definitely be coming back!
I'm a big plant and fish person I was driving by and stopped in. I was not expecting this much of a experience. They have just a out everything you can dream of also they have animal rescue and fish as well. A really awesome.all around place to visit.
Wide Variety, Decent Prices, Friendly Staff - LOTS OF PESTThe store is indeed full of plants and has a wide variety at fair prices. Unfortunately, a store packed with plants and no windows or real ventilation means a breeding ground for pests. It almost can't be helped. There were mealy-bugs and spider mites on countless plants, and a bucket of pest-covered leaves left by employees in the center of a lot of alocasias which are prone to pests as it is. I'm sure the store tries to prevent it, but it is difficult in such an enclosed space and they shouldn't leave pest-covered leaves close to other plants.Staff was friendly and seemed to be open to helping customers.I won't say not to buy from here since the selection is wide and the prices are fair, but please make sure to treat and isolate any new plants to avoid an infestation in your own home. Spray your plant down with alcohol or insecticidal soap before bringing it inside.
A little messy, but a humid natural atmosphere with the scent of living soil and so many plants at decent prices. Will definitely be back for stocking my winter sunroom!
We love this place! KRIS has done amazing job. All the emoyees are friendly and always available for help or questions. Huge selection of so many plants. We have shopped for many houseplants as well as large showpiece plants for our home. The best part is you can get your plants and shop for the correct decorative pots right then. No more guessing what size you need. The aviary and koi fish pond are a wonderful addition. Makes it so much fun for anyone you bring along. They also have a party room which would be awesome for a girls plant party or kids birthday party. If they were to add a snack station I could stay there all day!!! They get deliveries every week so always something new to find!!
First time here and definitely not my last! There’s such a wide variety of plants and cute little friends you can find all around the store. Great customer service
Amazing selection of plants and accessories! To say pricing was reasonable is an understatement. Every ounce of self-control completely went out of the window. From pothos & philos, tropical ferns & palms and fruiting trees, to succulents, air plants & carnivorous plants! Found several must-haves and then some. Staff members were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and quick to offer assistance. Learned I could book and sip & plant too! It's safe to say I found where I'll be spending my next birthday!!
Love coming here and fueling my plant addiction 🥰 There are turtles, birds, and koi fish too that are all rescues! It really feels like being in a jungle, and they have every plant imaginable! The staff are also so so friendly and helpful 🙂
I live this place. Great assortment of healthy plants and everything you need to grow them. They have cool pet turtles a coi fish pond and birds as well. Great place to shop as well as visit. They also host workshop worth checking out.
We drove almost an hour from the north to check this place out, mainly looking for plants for our vegetable garden. They did not have a big selection but did buy a few which cost $45. We can find a better selection and get quite a few more for less money at the stores by us. Many plants did not look like they were in good condition and we laughed at an employee that grabbed a chair and was hosing them down like a shooting gallery! The place was like a jungle and was hard to maneuver a shopping cart through the aisles. The employees I did talk to were nice. Had some beautiful flowers, largest coi fish I have ever seen, lots of metal lawn decorations, live parakeets, pools, lawn furniture, pool tables and there is a party room for birthdays and such. Wasn't a bad place and worth the trip if just to check it out. Lots of available parking because it looks like it might have been an old Kmart.
Wow, first time here and it’s massive!! There are so many different kinds of plants, all different sizes and environment types. Also they had animals??! There are koi fish and little birds and even a giant turtle/tortoise(not sure which). There was just so much to look at everywhere! The staff were also so kind and helpful. We’re coming back!!
This place is beautiful and has so much!! Only thing was some ppl working there didn't know anything about plants, but they made sure to direct me to others that did. I love that they have birds and tortoises, fish and a waterfall too, it creates a lovely environment. Some plants were pretty dry though, as others say, and parts of the place were a bit disorganized, but otherwise very worth the trip! Very affordable 🙂 if you're a total green thumb and want to try saving some struggling plant babies, they have an area for struggling plants too.
Grab a coffee and take a stroll through this exquisite indoor plant nursery! I recently moved to the area and found this place on Google maps. The hours and location were accurate. Easy to find! I would recommend planning to be here for a good chunk of time because there is SO MUCH to see! So much beautiful greenery. I brought my 3 children and they enjoyed it too. There are birds, tortoises and fun fish that live at the bottom of a waterfall. This place is so unique!
This place is so nice! There's a wide variety of plants that are beautiful. Highly recommend this place for all your jungle needs! Customer service was impeccable. I came in not knowing what I wanted, and Lelani was more than helpful in assisting me. She walked around the store with me and help me pick out a plant! I will definitely visit again! and I highly recommend ☺️
As an avid plant lover, this place is one of my new favorites and it's probably a good thing I don't live closer or I'd be broke. They have a great variety of plants, mostly all grouped together and sorted by variegations which was so cool to see. I don't recall seeing anything super rare, but definitely had a few I've never seen in other plant stores. The staff were all very friendly and super helpful. The prices were fair, but not always clearly marked. Some plants had prices on the pots, others had signs on the shelves, but some were just a complete mystery. Some of the plants had very detailed signs on the shelves that not only listed the price, but care, tips and toxicity for pets! Overall I highly recommend this place.
This is a well taken care of plant emporium. The plants are well organized, prices easy to view. There’s some animals, above ground pools, outdoor furniture, pool tables, and seasonal decor also available alongside the plants, pots, soil, and all plants care needs. The staff were so friendly and wildly knowledgeable about plants! I’ll be headed back here the next time I expand my plant collection.
Welcome to the jungle 🌳 🌺 🪴 🐠 🐊It was such a cool experience to walk through the ginormous store to see all the animals and discover rows upon rows of gorgeous plants.Kids would love this place 💕 it has an ongoing volcano 🌋The koi troupe 😳 will be nobody’s dinner 🍲…. EVER. Did we mention huge? The baby alligator 🐊 is cute from 2 feet away behind enclosed space 😆The parakeets were happily chirping away making the store quite lovely. And whip out the cameras for the Halloween decors 🎃The orchids are in full bloom and we grabbed a new variety to try this year. The Christmas decorations are in progress but you gotta stop in to check out the $8999.00 giant tree 🌲. Yes you read it right. It was 20+ feet tall and I wager it took a crane to lift this bundle of joy. 😂The staff was very friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to check it out during Christmas 🎄 season.
Such a great place to come buy plants. Plenty of selections and the employees are very knowledgeable about the care. Great customer service and friendly employees. Prices are very reasonable. From pots to patio chairs and all kinds of accessories for your outdoor needs.Plus the birds and the waterfall feature will have your kids not wanting to leave.
Very plump and wonderful birds! Some of the biggest fish I have seen! There is a great selection of plants at reasonable prices. The service was excellent 👍Definitely worth it!
We had the fortunate opportunity to attend the very first birthday at the Jungle of Niles. I had no idea what to expect, but we were really amazed! The staff was very attentive in making sure all the kids were having a good time and participating in all the activities. Jungle of Niles offers a unique and fun birthday party extravaganza!
I generally don't leave bad reviews- But be aware all these plants are COVERED in spider mites. I lost most of my houseplants to pest infestation due buying infected plants from this location. It's going to take me months to cure what I have left.Pricing is incredibly unorganized & every time I've purchased they make up different prices at the register. I highly recommend to avoid this place for houseplants.
Love how they have everything from birds to reptiles to fishes!!. All animals are rescued or rehomed and glad a place like this can take them in and cared for them. As a bird expert i see that they are doing the right thing and guiding them to success. Never seen something like this but most of all love how the birds can be free and fly instead of cages. In my believe if you keep your bird in cages its animal abused but also gets they can stretch fly and have its proper care its all good . Will recommend this place!
The worker that guided me and my friend around the rescue birds and taught us how to feed the fish made our whole experience fun. The store has a LARGE variety of plants and pots for a reasonable price. Definitely recommend going here to find something you like. The cash register process was pretty slow, but overall a good experience.
If you can’t find what you’re looking for in the store then it doesn’t exist! This store has the biggest selection of plants that I’ve ever seen in my life! I have to agree with some of the other reviews that say it is an organized and the plants seem dry. They had three above ground pools on display and lots of patio furniture.Plants for the most part seemed to healthy to me but again on the dry side.If you’re looking for plants for the house or the backyard, this is the place to go!
This store is a lot of fun and has beautiful plants. The prices are excellent, the staff is friendly, and they have a huge selection. It really is a jungle, and it’s fun to explore. Thanks Chris, Mary Bell, and Omar for an enjoyable experience and your help! See you next time.
Love the variety of plants this store has! Made it my mom’s new favorite plant store too! We definitely don’t mind driving 1 hour 30 minutes to get here!
Great gem of plants. I was very impressed with the prices and the variety. I will say that I did go in there knowing what I was looking for but no one stopped to greet me or ask if I had any questions. Yes, my elephant ears had spider mites (as they are prone to get) and like any plant enthusiast, I treat all of my new plants before I put them with others in my home. Most of the plants looked healthy to me but some of them definitely needed some TLC. Still a great store and would recommend checking them out.
Good selection- great pricing. It's a little unorganized & almost all of the employees need to work on thier customers service skills. The lady with purple hair & older gentlemen who I believe is a manager we're nice but all the other employees made me feel like I was in their way. I will stop by again in a few months as it was expressed to me they do not advertise- only word of mouth. Maybe a employee intervention may help. A friendly "hello" goes a long way
Totally random but SO worth it!I drive past this place every day on my way home and finally took the time to stop and check it out. It's a giant warehouse absolutely FILLED with all kinds of plants and flowers and decor and more. It's a little chaotic but organized enough to make for a great time and absolutely unbeatable prices! I ended up going two days in a row, took home 6 plants (10" pots) and Two baby plants for a STEAL. Couldn't have enjoyed it more -- can't wait to go back!
This place is absolutely amazing!! It’s unbelievable how large and beautiful there selection is. There is always someone there who is very knowledgeable about the variety of plants too. Ask and they are there! I’m a forever customer now!Thank you Jungle of Niles.. best kept secret in the Chicagoland area.
Jungle of Niles is an awesome place for all your plant finds! The store is huge and it smells sooo good in here! They have such a wide variety of plants that are affordable. I’d highly recommend checking it out!! Workers were very friendly too 🙂
It an amazing place to buy plants and plant accessories. They are so helpful people. Especially Chris (designer) was so patient with me to choose what I need. I really appreciated🌺
OMG the plants!!!! So many sizes, varieties, & colors to choose from and all at great prices. It’s like walking into a football sized stadium full of green plants and flowers - amazing. The plants looked very healthy, no pests, well taken care of. And bonus if you’re looking for patio furniture or cushions, there’s plenty of that to choose from too. I definitely will go back for more plants - you can never have too many and they make great gifts!
It was my first time at jungle of Nile's it was the best experience of all of my gardening in 30 years. I’m an experienced gardener of both flowers and vegetables. Eli and Mike walked me through the store not only told me prices but showed me exactly what I needed to fit in my pots. I’m coming back next week I’m definitely hooked on this place. I would go nowhere else for my plants and they carry supplies like dirt, etc.
Omggg!!!! This place was like a dream!! The prices are insanely affordable and customer service was so nice. Everyone was super friendly and I felt like I stepped into an oasis in the middle of winter. I will highly recommend for everyone that loves plants. Will definitely bring all my plant friends here!!!!
Great selection of plants..not well taken care of at all. Most plants are dead/dying. Nothing is priced and when you ask they really aren’t sure themselves. Plants covered in bugs. I pointed it out to the manager and he told me “no, the plants are just dry” I have a clear picture of a mealy bug, and the mealy bugs were huge. Most elephant ears were covered in spider mites. Staff was not very helpful and the entire store was in shambles. Most of the outdoor furniture was expensive but looked used. Would not recommend at all.
How did I miss this place ! Beautiful place ! Very friendly and helpful staff .Very reasonable price , they always have knew plants coming from Florida. If you like indoor plants this is heaven for you .
So happy to have stumbled into this gem! It was such a great find. The store had a very wide selection of beautiful plants all well tended to and for the best prices! I had a wonderful experience, especially with the associate who helped us, Chris! Can’t say enough nice things about him and his knowledge of plants and their upkeep. He was extremely helpful and kind! Can’t wait to go back! If you are in the market for plants this is the place to go!
Owner is very nice European guy who helped me and my grandma pick plants for her apartment. We told him she wanted flowering plants, not just green leafy plants, so he showed us where flowering plants are in store and explained what each ones were and how to take care of them. It was very nice experience having Russian speaking person help grandma since she doesn’t speak English. Very friendly, helpful, welcoming guy, looking forward to buying more plants in the future! Highly recommend!
It’s a biazzre place to sell plants, but I love plants so I decided to stop in. Staff wasn’t really welcoming, and you could tell there was tension between the two cashiers (I think the one guy there was the owner). None of it really made sense.. you’re selling plants in a place with no windows and low lighting, and oh yeah, let’s sell pool tables and above ground pools while we’re at it.
Family owned place. I got mt pool closing supplies there. Price was competitive. Old dude helped me. They mostly sell plants in various stages of health and prices reflect.
Excellent variety of thriving plants to choose from. Customer service was above and beyond any expectations. They even offered to repot my plants with fresh soil and water them for me. I’m so impressed and will be back again!
I'm an avid plant shopper and this place was worth a trip! While they do have some shabby looking/spider mite plants they are graded and priced accordingly AND they have a ton of very nice plants too. I just bought an Alocasia at home depot for $17 and found the same one in perfect condition here for 8.99. The plants I purchased I also got a little discount without even asking because they were a bit dry. I can see these supplies sent the same things to local big box stores and here they are half off for the same quality. Super excitingm
